  Gypsy Songman is truly and album of JJW's life. Granted, the version of Mr. Bojangles is not folksy like the original, but ya gotta get past that! The other tracks are AWESOME, and if you listen to the words, you can learn about him. I recently read his book and now declare Gypsy Songman /5(9).

  Some have called Jerry Jeff the Jimmy Buffett of Texas. It was Jerry Jeff who first drove Jimmy Buffett to Key West (from Coconut Grove, Florida in a Packard).   As he explains in the liner notes, sometime around Jerry Jeff Walker decided to bring his music up to date, and he put together a series of (mostly) acoustic sessions where he mixed old songs and new.
